The University Senate is a University managing and professional organ.

The Senate is consisted of the University units’ representatives directly selected out of the professors or scientific advisers, representatives of the accompanying units as well as the students. The Rector is a Senate member by function. The vice-rectors and the secretary general participate in the work of the Senate without the right to vote.

The higher-educational units have three representatives out of the professors, in the Senate.

The scientific units are represented by two representatives which are scientific advisers.

The accompanying units are presented by only one representative.

The students are presented by five representatives selected out of the students who are members of the Students’ Parliament.
